JetBull player has winnings voided for VPN usage

jetbullimageA JetBull Sportsbook (SBR rating C) player has launched a complaint against the sports betting site.

The player registered last week with JetBull and opened his account with a €50 deposit.

The player accepted a starting bonus and completed €660 in rollover. However, the player was using a VPN to place his sports bets which led to his winnings being voided.

The player has claimed that he used a VPN because he is frequently “on the go” and inadvertently made bets from an IP address that resolved to a prohibited country. SBR has asked what it is about the player’s travel that necessitated the usage of a VPN, and if he was physically present in a barred country at the time of placing bets.

JetBull cited that per their gambling license they are required to suspend his account and void his winning bets. JetBull left only his initial deposit of €50 in his account which he is free to withdraw at any time.

The player is contesting the decision. SBR is investigating the complaint.

SBR reported last year that using VPNs to access online sportsbooks can backfire on players, especially when a prohibited country is used to receive a bettor’s traffic.

JetBull bettors in need of assistance should submit a sportsbook complaint form.
