Online sportsbook MarathonBet (SBR rating B+) has credited the player in full who submitted a complaint over an experience he had making a phone wager with the betting site earlier this week.
The player detailed calling to place a two-team parlay (multiple bet), but the wagering clerk accidentally entered two single bets, prompting the betting site to eventually void the bets.
The player argued that the agent properly performed the readback of the wager and that he was confirmed to have action and that he should not be penalized for the mistake, though MarathonBet’s terms and conditions protect itself from operator errors.
In light of the error and in good faith, MarathonBet has advised SBR that they have credited the player in full for the inconvenience.
