A Topbet Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player has filed a payment complaint.
The player is owed $1,188 and has been waiting for over a month to receive his funds.
The player has been given generic updates, as have around a dozen others who have similarly filed slow-pay complaints, suggesting that third-parties processors are to blame.
Online sportsbooks must have backup options in place to be able to pay their players in the event that the primary option is unavailable. Players cannot be penalized because sportsbooks are in limbo with financial companies. Many betting sites have resolved this by integrating bitcoin into their cashiers, which Topbet stated it would do during the NFL preseason, though the betting site has yet to add the option to their cashier.
Topbet Sportsbook has been downgraded from the mark of C- to D+. Players who have not already done so should submit a sportsbook complaint form.
