An LSbet Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player has filed a sportsbook complaint.
The player deposited €120 to the sports betting site on January 23.
He wagered a two-team accumulator (parlay) bet on soccer bringing his account balance up to €882.
The player declined taking a sportsbook bonus so that he would not be slowed down by a rollover requirement as he did not intend to play for a long period of time. Following his first payout request, LSbet followed up asking for the standard line of documents necessary for the user to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. SBR detailed why KYC is necessary in a recent report.
After sending the standard documents requested, he was asked to provide a photo showing his ID along with his LSbet account number. The player complied with this request. The player then was asked to speak with the betting site via Skype video. He at first was relucant to take part but ultimately agreed and during the call was questioned about basic facts such as how long a soccer match is for, as well as questions about his account wagers.
He was able to answer all questions successfully, but at the end of the call the player was asked if he knows another individual (his roommate). He acknowledged his relationship with his roomate but clarified that he did not take a bonus and simply made a winning soccer parlay with his deposited funds. He denies placing bets on the same games as his roommate or any forbidden activity; even if the player had wagered on common games, the wagers would not have been in circumvention of LSbet’s limits.
Sportsbook Review has asked LSbet to discuss the case and will update readers with any new developments. LSbet holds a rating of D+ in the online sportsbooks rating guide. While not on the blacklist, D+ rated betting sites are known for borderline activity which might include roughing up sharps or slow-pays.
