Tipico has agreed a deal with the German Football League (DFL) to sponsor both the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga domestic club competitions.
The sports betting firm brokered the agreement with DFL subsidiary Bundesliga International and will now support the top two leagues in Germany until the end of the 2020-21 season.
Tipico will serve as an official partner of both competitions and receive rights to use their respective logos in its various advertising campaigns.
Also, from the 2018-19 season, Tipico will have first-right option in DFL media contracts and a so-called ‘matching offer right’, which relates to special forms of advertising for national licensees and sector exclusivity for corresponding bookings.
In addition, Tipico will benefit from promotion across all official DFL platforms through a package of digital rights, but the deal does not include the commercial use of club rights.
