GVC Holdings-owned Partypoker has secured a licence to return to the Italian market after a four-year absence.
The licence, which came into effect from 1 April, permits the brand to offer real-money online poker games to players in the country.
This will see the brand’s full tournament schedule for 2020 made available to Italian players.
“Despite recent changes that restrict marketing in Italy, the poker market there remains an exciting opportunity for Partypoker,” managing director Tom Waters said.
“We will be looking to improve and expand on our product and offering over 2020 and bring a different option for the Italian poker market.”
