Betfair continued it’s strong record in the mobile development sphere by winning it’s third consecutive Mobile Entertainment Award for Best Gambling Company app. The eighth annual ME Awards took place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on Thursday, November 14th, attracting over 300 senior professionals from more than 100 companies worldwide.
The Betfair Mobile team was on hand to accept the award, which was won from stiff competition from fellow competitors: Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Mr. Green, Betfuze, Rank Interactive & Probability.
The awards were established by Mobile Entertainment, an online news source for the mobile content market, in 2006 to celebrate innovation and success in the industry.
Speaking on the awards night Katy Phillips, publisher of Mobile Entertainment, said: “As usual the ME Awards generated a huge amount of hype when we announced this year’s categories back in May. We were treated to some truly inspiring entries that really demonstrated the fact that the global mobile content market still buzzes with creativity. Technology has developed so much over the last year and consumer experiences on mobile have reached an all-time high.”
