Online gaming company Bet365 is to create 600 new jobs as part of a multi-million pound expansion that will feature a relocation of its UK headquarters.
According to the local Sentinel newspaper, Bet365 is planning to move from its Festival Park home in Stoke-on-Trent to nearby Etruria, where it will construct a 13,000 square metre base almost double the size of its current offices.
The relocation will form part of Bet365’s expansion plans, which include the creation of 600 new jobs over the next decade to add to is already 2,200-strong workforce in the Stoke area.
“We have reached the stage where we have outgrown our existing offices and it’s important for us to proceed with this project which will enable us to continue to base ourselves in the area, taking account of both our existing workforce and planned future growth,” Bet365’s joint chief executive, Denise Coates, said.
Bet365 plans to begin work on the new Etruria base next summer before moving staff to the site in early 2016.
The operator is likely to sell off or let its Festival Park offices.
