Greek lottery solutions giant Intralot has extended its deal to provide lottery services to the country’s lottery monopoly OPAP until 2023.
The last extension of the deal, signed in December 2017, was set to expire at the end of July 2021, but now it will last for a further two years.
Intralot will provide its core Lotos X product, which launched in 2019, to OPAP.
“The lottery solution enables OPAP to keep optimising the gaming experience and responsibly increase the engagement of the Greek player community,” Intralot said.
“Our next generation future-proof platform is designed to build scalable ecosystems that meet the growing market demand and fully supports the modernization and digital transformation of OPAP.”
Last week, Intralot signed an extension of its contract with state lottery of Western Australia, Lotterywest. The new deal will last until January 2026.
Last month, OPAP appointed Jan Karas as its full-time chief executive. He was previously serving in the role on an acting basis after Damian Cope left the operator.
