Schleswig Holstein-based online and land-based gaming operator mybet Holding has appointed former Tipp24 senior executive Sven Ivo Brinck to replace Mathias Dahms as chief executive.Brinck joins mybet after more than ten years working for German lottery brokerage operator Tipp24, holding a number of executive positions including managing director of the company’s skill-based gaming business, Tipp24 Entertainment, between 2008 and 2012.
Having joined the company as product manager in September 2002, he left Tipp24 in March earlier this year, having most recently served as senior consultant business development.
“We are delighted that in Sven Ivo Brinck we have attracted to the company a management board member who is firmly established in the online and gaming scene, and can also offer sound management experience,” mybet supervisory board chairman Dr Volker Heeg commented.
Dahms announced he was to leave mybet in November after more than 15 years with the business. He is set to depart at the end of 2013, at which time interim chief financial officer Monika Fiala was set to take over his role until a suitable replacement was found. However Fiala, who joined mybet days before Dahms announced his departure, has resigned from her role with immediate effect.
She was hired on a six-month contract to replace Stefan Hänel, who stepped down from his role in October, with a decision on a permanent replacement to be made at a later date.
As a result, Brinck will take on all the management board duties until further notice.
Heeg thanked Fiala for her short service with the operator, saying she “assured continuity” in the company’s finance department following Hänel’s departure.
A number of mybet’s long-serving employees have also left the business in 2013, including chairman Rainier Jacken, who co-founded the company with Dahms, and supervisory board members Rodolfo Carpintier Santana and Clemens Jakoptisch.
