Sportech Racing and Digital already supports the Corporation’s pari-mutuel wagering activities at the firm’s racetracks and betting venues in British Columbia and Ontario, as well as through its digital wagering service from Sportech’s Quantum Data Center in New Jersey.
Under the new deal, the Corporation will now benefit from Sportech’s new teller-operated and self-service wagering devices, as well as a mobile wagering service that allows punters to bet on a smartphone or tablet while on track.
Bruce Barbour, executive director, racing operations for Great Canadian Gaming, said: “We have been pleased with the reliability and performance of Sportech’s wagering technology, and with the level of service we have received, and we look forward to implementing some of the new technologies Sportech has on the horizon.”
