Online gaming technology and services provider Playtech has announced the launch of its mobile poker solution for Gala Coral’s Coral Interactive.The launch sees Coral extend its current poker offering on Coral.co.uk to mobile devices, using the supplier’s Mobile Hub functionality.
The product is built using HTML5 technology, making the Mobile Hub compatible with all devices, with players able to access a variety of cash tables as well as the supplier’s fast-fold product Sprint Poker.
It also gives licensees access to a range of marketing tools to give operators greater flexibility in running their business and maximising cross-sell opportunities.
The operator’s head of poker Craig Perry said the vertical had seen strong year-on-year growth, adding that he was “delighted” to have added poker to its mobile offering.
“As we strive to recruit more and more recreational poker players we see mobile as the ideal tool to engage them,” Perry explained.
Playtech chief operating officer Shay Segev said the supplier was “very excited” to launch its mobile poker offering for Coral.
“In today’s fast paced environment where more and more activities are performed on the go, offering players the ability to play their favourite games anytime, anywhere is vital for any operator,” Segev explained. “I am sure the mobile platform and the extensive range of marketing tools available on Playtech’s Mobile Hub, will provide Coral Interactive with a strong competitive advantage in the Poker space.”
Since sealing a partnership with Playtech in July 2011, Gala Coral has rolled out the supplier’s products across all channels, with the poker roll-out following the release of a new bingo and slots tablet offering for Gala Interactive.
