Irish gaming operator Paddy Power has extended its partnership with credit reference agency Callcredit Information Group to use its identification and verification package for a further two years.Paddy Power will continue to use Callcredit’s CallValidate solution, which verifies a customer’s name, address and date of birth while simultaneously conducting a real-time check against bank providers’ records.
This both confirms the person’s identity, and also ensures that the bank account used to make payments is linked to the correct name and address, helping the operator identify potential fraudulent activity.
The companies first started working together in January 2012, with the solution allowing Paddy Power to verify customers worldwide without the need to request documentation.
The operator’s customer security manager Andy Ryan said Paddy Power was delighted to extend the partnership, saying that it was an easy decision to make.
“When you combine an effective and efficient technology solution for customer age and identify verification, a highly proactive and supportive account management team and a cost effective pricing model, it has all the ingredients for a successful partnership,” he explained.
“By working collaboratively we have overcome challenges and obstacles, and enhanced the benefits of the products we utilise,” Ryan said. ”We believe that the next 2 years will bring even greater benefits and we look forward to working with the Callcredit team.”
