Sportradar signs Cricket Australia fraud detection deal

Sportradar announced it has signed a partnership deal with Cricket Australia to monitor cricket tournaments in Australia for signs of betting-related corruption and fraudulent activity.

Under terms of the agreement, Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System will monitor CA’s Ryobi Cup, BUPA Sheffield Shield and KFC Big Bash T20 League competitions.

“It’s critical in today’s world that sports governing bodies confront the threat of betting related match-fixing and have robust preventative, detection and investigation methods in place,” said CEO Carsten Koerl. “Cricket Australia is doing just that and Sportradar is delighted to be partnering with them to help protect their competitions against the threat posed from match-fixers.”

James Sutherland, CEO of Cricket Australia, said the partnership with Sportradar is the latest step taken to “uphold the integrity of cricket.”
