The steady development in gross revenue, the efficiency increases in marketing and the reduction in other expense all show clear and positive effects on the development of results of the bet-at-home.com AG Group in the reporting period.For instance, EBITDA increased during the 2013 financial year to 15.0 mn and was thus 13.2 mn euros more than the comparative value of the previous year (FY 2012: 1.8 mn). EBIT also increased due to the positive developments in the reporting period by 13.1 mn to 14.3 mn euros (FY 2012: 1.2 mn).
The company achieved a Group financial result of 1.1 mn euors. Accordingly, the earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted to 15.4 million and was thus 13.1 mn euros above the comparative value of the previous year (FY 2012: 2.3 million).
The gross betting and gaming revenue in the 2013 financial year was 85.6 mn and thus 0.2% above the value of the same period in 2012, which tended to included a higher gaming volume with the European Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine (FY 2012: 85.5 mn). As the most important key figure in the eGaming market, the gross betting and gaming revenue represents the difference between the gaming volume and winnings paid out.
The gaming volume for bet-at-home.com AG amounted to a total of 1,834.8 mn in the 2013 financial year (FY 2012: 2,039.8 mn) and was thus 10.0% below the comparative figure of the previous year due to the higher volume during the European Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine, although this had no effect on the excellent revenue development.
The sports betting tax introduced in Germany in July 2012 continues to have an impact, which is why the betting fees and gambling levies increased in the 2013 financial year to 11.0 mn (FY 2012: 9.9 mn) and thus resulted in net gaming revenue of 74.7 mn (FY 2012: 75.5 mn).
