ISIS Labs strengthens team with former Full Tilt marketing chief

Gaming software and platform developer ISIS Labs has bolstered its management team with the appointment of former Full Tilt Poker marketing chief Lothar Rentschler. Rentschler joins the company from massively multiplayer online games provider Gameforge Productions, where he has served as vice president of marketing since 2011.

He has previous experience of the gambling sector, spending almost three years as chief marketing officer of Full Tilt Poker, and also served as global marketing director for drinks manufacturer Bacardi.

In his new role, he will serve as chief marketing officer of ISIS, with his appointment subject to approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange.

ISIS chief executive Daniel Kajouie said he was “extremely pleased” to have Rentschler join the company.

“His background and achievements speak for themselves,” Kajouie explained. “Lothar is a tremendous addition and asset to our management team, and his breadth of knowledge of our industry will serve Isis well.”

Rentschler was first approached in October last year, having previously worked alongside ISIS vice president of public relations and branding Michele Claybourne at Full Tilt.

He credited Kajouie’s enthusiasm for the business as a key factor in convincing him to join the business.

“Talking to Daniel you get an instant understanding of what he is planning and his vision, so it was an easy thing to convince me,” Rentschler explained. “I was always interested in going back into the gambling industry – there are similar target groups and similar marketing strategies.”

He stressed the fact that ISIS Friends was a “totally unique” product, and different from competing monetisation platforms, as a social network developed around real-money gambling products rather than a B2B development platform like Odobo, or an operator supporting third-party content like Betable and CashBet. This, he said, would allow the product to quickly establish itself in the UK market.

“Our team is small, but dedicated and talented,” he explained. “Everyone is passionate about ISIS Friends and has really bought into Daniel’s vision.”

ISIS Friends is due to soft-launch shortly. The company has also made moves to enter the Italian market, where it has sealed a deal with Microgame to provide the supplier with an online bingo platform and related services, helping it power more than one hundred local Italian operators.

Rentschler becomes the second high-profile appointment to the ISIS Labs management team this year, after former Tribeca Tables poker network COO Anthony Abrahamson joined as senior vice president of operations and business affairs.
