The Wyoming Lottery Corporation is the latest lottery company to ink a deal with the Greek outfit Intralot after the pair shake hands on a five year deal that will see them become the gaming vendor of choice.

Intralot are on a roll right now.

After announcing a 10-year contract to act as the technology vendor of the Irish National Lottery, and 2013 year end profits of over €1.5bn (+9.7% year-on-year), the Greek outfit unveil their plans to partner with the Wyoming Lottery Corporation ahead of the states first attempt at fiddling with their balls.

Intralot will provide systems and services to power the newly formed WyoLotto, including a new central lottery system, software platform and terminal network, as well as recruiting lottery retailers in the state.

The WyoLotto has been created on the back of House Bill 77 which was signed into law by the state governor Matt Mead, in July of last year, and Intralot won the tender process despite the three largest lottery suppliers in the world taking part.

Speaking about the deal in a press release, Ioannis Pantoleon, CEO, Intralot, stated, “Since beginning operations in 2002, INTRALOT USA has won 14 contracts in the highly competitive U.S. marketplace, including the last 2 U.S. Lotteries that have started new operations; the previous one being the highly-successful Arkansas Scholarship Lottery in 2009. We are pleased to announce our new contract in Wyoming. We are confident that our leading gaming technology, our operational know how across all gaming jurisdictions and our focus on understanding our customers’ needs will provide great value and strong support to the new lottery’s operations.”

The WyoLotto is expected to go live later in the year with the launch of two games: Powerball and Mega Millions.
