Sportradar signs MoU with SportAccord

Sports and betting-related data company Sportradar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SportAccord, the union of all Olympic and non-Olympic sports International Federations.

Both parties said the MoU will attempt to harmonise their prevention and education approaches to sports betting integrity.

The agreement comes shortly after SportAccord launched the Sport Integrity Standards Organisation (SISO), an initiative that aims at coordinating among all stakeholders the sharing of information, developing a licencing system for the world of sport and betting operators, and boosting public awareness.

“SportAccord’s position as the union for International Sports Federations from all around the world makes it a vital player in the global fight against betting- related match-fixing and they should be applauded for the work they are doing to protect the integrity of sport,” Sportradar’s chief executive officer Carsten Koerl said.

“Sportradar through the signing of this agreement is honoured to assist in any way that we can.”

Marius Vizer, president of SportAccord, added: “Sportradar’s proven expertise in the field of betting related- match fixing prevention and education will prove invaluable to us.”
