Sport and betting-related data company Sportradar has signed a multi-year deal to become the official data partner of the International Basketball Federation (Fiba), the sport’s global governing body.
Under the agreement, Sportradar has acquired the non-exclusive worldwide rights to collect, distribute and archive sports data from all competitions organised by Fiba for the betting and media industry.
Fiba organises a number major international basketball events including the Basketball World Cup and various continental championships around the world such as EuroBasket.
In addition, Fiba also has the option to utilise Sportradar’s integrity services during the partnership.
Carsten Koerl, chief executive officer of Sportradar, said: “We are very pleased to co-operate with Fiba as the world governing body for basketball. Our market leading betting and sports data services will engage basketball fans worldwide in new ways and across all platforms.”
