Central and Eastern European online betting operator Fortuna Entertainment has announced that Wilf Walsh is to step down from his position as chairman of the firm.
The Reuters news agency reports Walsh will exit the role at Fortuna’s annual general meeting on June 6.
Walsh was first appointed chairman in May 2012 after serving as vice-chairman of the firm’s management board during the first half of the year.
In December 2011, he was also appointed as interim chief executive officer following the departure of Jiri Bunda.
During his time with Fortuna, Walsh was also responsible for corporate strategy and in 2010 helped the company secure its listing on the Prague and Poland stock exchanges in the Czech Republic and Poland respectively.
Walsh also currently serves as a non-executive director of betting operator Gala Coral.
The news comes shortly after Fortuna reported a year-on-year drop in revenue during the first quarter of 2014.
