Sports data technology provider Betegy has agreed a deal to license its sports betting prediction software to Beijing SunLoto Network & Technology, a licensed operator of China’s Welfare and Sports Lottery.The three-year partnership sees SunLoto, which operates the Wozhongla website, gain access to Betegy’s API with the product due to go live ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
The solution allows operators to offer data-driven predictions on football events based on statistical algorithms, covering more than 20 football leagues.
The company’s chief executive and co-founder Alex Kornilov said that many companies in the sector viewed China as a key driver of future growth, adding that he was delighted to be one of the first European businesses to enter the market.
“Sports data prediction tools are growing in popularity at an exponential rate, driven by tech savvy sports bettors and fans using smart phones and other devices,” Kornilov explained. “These customers demand accurate information to satisfy their immediate needs whether for betting or for fun. By signing this agreement with Wozhongla, we have a trusted and reliable strategic partner in China.”
Wozhongla CEO Gao Lei said that the company had built a strong and growing customer base since being authorised as a Welfare and Sports Lottery provider.
“Our success stems both from our respected and trusted brand and our continued investment in our customer’s needs. The requirement for additional sport services such as predictions has been a focus for Wozhongla,” Lei continued. “We have reviewed other providers but ultimately selected BETEGY due to their proven track record, patented technology and professionalism. We anticipate launching this service in early June to coincide with the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.”
