Employees that want to support Starlight are being encouraged to wear their “favourite pair of lucky pants” to work – either under or over work clothes – and help raise money for the children’s charity.
Starlight is a national charity that grants wishes for seriously and terminally ill children and provides entertainment in hospitals and hospices across the UK.
Neil Swan, chief executive of Starlight, said: “Every year, Starlight brings fun and laughter to over 500,000 very poorly children. This year, with your support of the first ever Wear Your Lucky Pants to Work Day, we will be able to bring smiles to many more.”
“2014 is the first year for what we hope will become an annual day of fun and fundraising for Starlight Children’s Foundation,” added Darren Sims of Lucky Pants Bingo.
“It’s easy to participate and it’s such a wonderful cause – we hope to see lucky pants everywhere.”
