UK-based interactive gaming company NetPlay TV has recorded an initial year-on-year increase in revenue during the second quarter of 2014.
In a trading update, the company reported total net revenue of £7.4 million (€9.3 million/$12.7 million) for the quarter, up 5% from the £7.1 million it achieved in the corresponding period last year.
NetPlay TV also said that the number of new depositing players in the period totalled 20,607, which is up 38% on 14,906 in Q2 of 2013.
In addition, the company also reported an increase in quarterly active depositing players, growing 33% from 28,261 last year to 37,691 in the most recent quarter.
NetPlay said more than 50% of all new customer registrations have come from mobile or tablet, while 36% of net revenue was also generated from such devices.
The company expects to issue its interim results on September 11.
