BMM Testlabs expands ISO accreditation for GSA protocols

Gaming certification testing specialist BMM Testlabs has opted to expand its ISO 17025 scope of accreditation to include two additional protocols from the Gaming Standards Association (GSA).

The expanded accreditation will see BMM Testlabs cover GSA protocols the Game Authentication Terminal (GAT) and Gaming Device Standard (GDS).

The GAT protocol is used by regulators and operators to help identify and authenticate gaming software and firmware.

GDS is the GSA’s USB-based serial protocol that is used to connect gaming devices with peripheral devices like printers, card readers and note acceptors.

Travis Foley, executive vice-president operations, Americas at BMM Testlabs, said: “We are very pleased that BMM is now able to provide certification for both GAT and GDS protocols from the Gaming Standards Association.

“This extended ISO accreditation ensures that BMM is fully able to provide all GSA certification needs for our clients.”
