Efbet boosts presence in Bulgarian football market

efbetimageBulgaria-facing sports betting operator Efbet has entered into a sponsorship deal with Bulgarian A PFG top-tier football club Levski Sofia.

The deal will initially run until the end of the year, with a view to extending to a three-and-a-half-year term, until the end of the 2017-18 season.

Under the agreement, Efbet, which is a brand name of Malta-based Eurofootball, which is part-owned by Intralot, will benefit from branding placement on the back of players’ jerseys.

Konstantin Bazhdekov, chief financial officer of Levski Sofia, said: “We hope everything becomes clear at the beginning of next year. The partnership is beneficial for both sides.”

Efbet’s partnership with Levski Sofia will expand its presence in the Bulgarian top flight, with the bookmaker already having deals in place with CSKA Sofia, Locomotiv Sofia, Slavia, Locomotiv Plovdiv and Botev Plovdiv.

Last month it also agreed an exclusive partnership agreement with the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and the Bulgarian national football team until 2016.
