ZEAL Network names Mattsson as chief financial officer

ZEAL Network, the online lottery specialist that recently rebranded from Tipp24, has appointed Jonas Mattsson as its new chief financial officer, effective February 1.

Mattsson, who will also serve on the company’s executive board, will replace Andreas Kneil after he departed ZEAL in September 2014 at his own request.

Prior to taking the role at ZEAL, Mattsson was chief financial officer and executive vice-president of network communications company O3b Networks.

In addition, Mattsson previously served as chief financial officer of various entities of satellite operator SES and also worked within the management teams of mobile giant Ericsson.

Dr Hans Cornehl, chief executive officer of ZEAL, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Jonas Mattsson to our team and to the executive board of ZEAL.

“He has a remarkable professional track record as CFO in major global corporations.

“I am sure that ZEAL will considerably benefit from his international management experience, and I am convinced that he will be a real asset to our company’s pursuit of a better world of lottery.”

As reported by iGaming Business, ZEAL confirmed in October that it was to rebrand from Tipp24 as part of an ongoing development strategy.

At the time, the company said the new name would reflect its wider strategic focus, which has expanded in recent years beyond the original consumer-facing business.
