NYX promotes NextGen’s Hamish Brown to group COO role

Toronto-listed gaming software provider NYX Gaming Group has promoted Hamish Brown, chief operating officer of the company’s NextGen Gaming subsidiary, to the role of group COO. Brown has served as COO of the supplier’s Sydney-based game development studio since January 2012, taking on the joint role of general manager of the business in September a year later. He has worked with NextGen since joining as programme manager in 2008.

Before joining NYX, he held a number of roles in the land-based gaming industry, working in national support and channel management for games manufacturers such as IGT (Australia), as well as working on projects for the likes of Aristocrat and Tabcorp.

NYX chief executive Matt Davey commented: “It gives me great pleasure to promote from within the business as our talented staff continues to grow and deliver excellent value to the company.

“Hamish provides NYX a wealth of experience and a certain confidence from his years of proven leadership at NextGen,” Davey added.

Brown joins Davey on the company’s executive management team alongside chief financial officer Elliott Hamilton, general counsel Matthew Stafford and chief technology officer Vladislav Aizenstadt.
