Affinity Gaming hands senior responsibilities to Bogumil

US land-based and online sportsbook Affinity Gaming has appointed Walter Bogumil as its new senior vice-president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

Bogumil will replace Donna Lehmann, who previously announced that she would resign from her role at the company on March 31.

Initially joining on March 19, Bogumil will assume his responsibilities as chief financial officer and treasurer from April 1.

Bogumil joins Affinity from Penn National Gaming where he served in a number of senior roles since April 2002, and most recently as vice-president of financial analysis.

Prior to his time with Penn National Gaming, he also held a number of senior positions at Microsoft, Sun International Resorts and Walt Disney World.

“I am very excited to be joining the Affinity team at such an important time,” Bogumi said.

“With the recent addition of key management and a clear strategy in place focusing on the strengths of the organisation, I believe there is significant opportunity to generate value for stakeholders.”

Michael Silberling, chief executive officer of Affinity, added: “Walter’s 18 years of financial experience including 12 of those years in the gaming industry will ensure an effective transition and the strong financial leadership we need to add value to the company and enhance long-term value for our shareholders.”
