Gibraltar-licensed gaming operator BetVictor has partnered creative agency VCCP to launch TweetRumble, a product designed to tap into the social buzz ahead of this weekend’s hotly-anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. TweetRumble is as a social platform on which every tweet in favour of one of the two fighters makes a little animated version of the boxer throw a punch against their opponent.
Acting as a social “swingometer”, TweetRumble also allows users to follow which fighter is getting the most supportive mentions and which celebrities are backing each, as well as latest odds from BetVictor.
The platform has been created for the Pacquiao-Mayweather bout, but the operator intends to use it for any high-profile boxing match to tap into the build-up to the event.
“Everyone has an opinion on this fight, our customers included,” BetVictor chief marketing officer Anton Bell commented. “The ‘fight before the fight’ is a great opportunity to put our social teams to work engaging with boxing fans and bettors alike.”
VCCP vice chairman Julian Douglas added: “[It is] an innovative technological platform, giving fans the opportunity to land their own punches in the social media battle. It’s a great opportunity to partner with BetVictor to engage with customers and boxing fans.”
