Brian Mattingley has stepped down from his position as chief executive officer of 888 to assume the role of executive chairman at the online gaming operator.
As reported by iGaming Business, 888 in August last year confirmed Mattingley would take on the new role following its 2015 Annual General Meeting.
Mattingley will now replace Richard Kilsby, who has served as executive chairman of the operator for the past nine years.
“Richard has shown outstanding leadership during his nine-year tenure as chairman, which has seen 888 grow and develop significantly,” Mattingley said.
“I would like to extend my personal thanks for Richard’s unwavering dedication and counsel during my time as chief executive of 888.”
Meanwhile, 888 has also announced that John Anderson has retired from its board with immediate effect.
Anderson had been serving as an independent non-executive director since December 2006, prior to which he held the role of chief executive officer.
In addition, chief operating officer Itai Frieberger has been appointed as an executive director of the operator.
“We are confident that we have an industry-leading team to continue the company’s growth for years to come,” Mattingley said.
