Sportradar nets Romanian football deal

Sports and betting-related data company Sportradar has secured a partnership with the Romanian Professional Football League (LPF).

Under the agreement, Sportradar will serve as the league’s official partner until the end of the 2017-18 season.

Sportradar will acquire the right to collect, archive and distribute data to the media and betting industry.

The deal will cover data from the Liga I top-tier club competition as well as the Cupa Ligii domestic cup tournament.

In addition, Sportradar will provide the LPF with various tools and solutions for enhanced data visualisation across the league’s digital media platforms and will advise on the commercialisation of digital media products.

“Our most recent partnership with Sportradar will help us to provide our fans and everyone who is interested in Romanian football with deep insights and live information,” LPF president Gino Iorgulescu said.

“It is a great opportunity to provide all our fans with more entertaining and engaging content and to take the next step into the digital era.”

Johannes Ranke, managing director of sports data and licensing at Sportradar, added: “With our live data feeds and content solutions, fans of the Romanian football league will be able to follow their favourite teams from anywhere in the world and will gain unparalleled insights.”
