Webis renews betting and streaming deal with NYRA

WatchandWager, the advance deposit wagering (ADW) subsidiary of Webis Holdings, has renewed its simulcast betting and video streaming agreement with the New York Racing Association (NYRA).

This will allow WatchandWager customers to place bets on events held at all racetracks operated by the NYRA.

It is a one-year rolling contract, that is automatically renewed, which the operator says proves its status as a “secure and dependable distributor of its racing products.”

The contract was signed this week then formally approved by the New York State Gaming Commission, allowing for uninterrupted coverage of this weekend’s racing at Belmont Stakes, in which the horse American Pharaoh will attempt to win a Triple Crown trophy.

The deal also covers rights for video streaming as well as pari-mutuel wagering rights, covering three of the most prestigious racetracks in New York State; the Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga, as well as several others.

“We are proud to be selected to take the NYRA signal and are delighted to be able to offer the Belmont Stakes to WatchandWager customers,” WatchandWager president and Webis managing director Ed Comins said.

“We look forward to Saturday’s historic events, as well as growing our business relationship with NYRA over the coming year.”

In related news Webis has appointed Nigel Caine as a non-executive director of the business. Caine is currently chief financial officer of private asset management business Burnbrae Group, and is a qualified chartered accountant.
