Sports betting exchange Matchbook.com has agreed a new sponsorship deal with English Championship second-tier football club Brentford.
The one-year agreement will run for the duration of the 2015-16 season, with the option to extend for an additional year.
Under the deal, which represents a record sponsorship agreement for the club, Matchbook.com branding will appear on the front of player’s shirts.
Matchbook.com has already built up a strong affiliation with Brentford, mainly through the link of Matthew Benham, who owns both the betting exchange and the football club itself.
This ongoing relationship has seen the Matchbook.com logo appear on the back of players’ shirts during the 2014-15 season, while company branding is also present on top of one of the stands at the club’s Griffin Park home stadium.
“Matchbook.com and ourselves have ambitious growth aspirations and we look forward to working in partnership with them over the next 12 months and, hopefully, beyond,” Bretnford chief executive Mark Devlin said.
Matchbook.com spokesperson Roibeard Long added: “Value, entertainment, customer engagement and success are central to Brentford FC.
“These values make them an ideal partner for us and the perfect platform from which to display our brand.”
