Ladbrokes joint venture Sportium has agreed a two-year extension to its partnership with LaLiga, the Spanish Football League (LFP).
The deal began between the sport betting operator, which is also jointly owned by Spanish gaming group Cirsa, and the LFP began during the 2014-15 season, but will now run until the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sportium becomes the official betting partner of the League, will be featured on the organisation’s website and can use club logos and player images on its marketing.
Sportium chief executive Alberto Eljarrat said: “It is a privilege to renew this partnership with LaLiga, which is one of the most prestigious competitions worldwide. This will allow us to consolidate our leadership in sports betting nationwide.”
Sportium will continue as a second-tier partner of LaLiga alongside Mahou, Nike, Sockatyes and Cabreiroa.
The operator last month also become the title sponsor of Spain’s professional futsal league.
