TonyBet rolls out e-sports betting service

tonybetimageOnline gaming operator TonyBet has moved to expand its offering by launching a new live e-sports betting service.

TonyBet customers are able to place bets on a host of e-sports tournaments, such as ‘Counter-Strike’, ‘League of Legends’ and ‘Dota 2’.

Despite having only recently gone live with the new service, TonyBet already has plans in place to expand the offering with betting on the upcoming CEVO/MLG Pro League LAN Finals.

Other events that will be available to place bets on include the Smite NA Pro League Finals, Smite World Championship, 2015 WCS Global Finals, DreamHack Winter 2015, SHOUTcraft Invitational II, The Summit 4, and Game Show Global eSports Cup.

Speaking about the launch, a TonyBet spokesperson said the company believes that the e-sports market offers “a lot of potential”.

“It’s clear that the gaming culture is gaining popularity, becoming more mainstream and people are willing and interested to participate in or watch the tournaments, so naturally we want our customers to be able to actively take part and support their favourites,” the spokesperson added.

“In a market that’s so heavily saturated we aim to provide our users with an exceptional experience.

“TonyBet was always about being innovative and progressive, and in the rise of e-sports, we aspire to respond immediately to the demand that it creates.”
