IG Group has appointed Mark Ward, a senior partner at financial services firm Deloitte, as interim chief financial officer.
Ward, who has led Deloitte’s investment management and wealth sector for the past three years, will assume his new role with IG Group on January 25.
IG Group said Ward will remain in the position until a permanent chief financial officer is appointed, but will not serve as a director nor a member of the company’s board.
Ward’s appointment comes after Chris Hill opted to step down from the role in October of last year in order to take up a similar position with financial services company Hargreaves Lansdown.
Last month, IG Group also announced that Peter Hetherington was to take over as chief executive, following the retirement of predecessor Tim Howkins.
