Gaming Nation has closed its previously announced acquisition of UK stadium betting service company BD Sport Group.
In December, Gaming Nation signed a definitive agreement to purchase BD Sport for £8.8 million (€10.1 million/$10.7 million), with an additional earn-out provision of up to £2 million.
Gaming Nation has now taken ownership of a portfolio that includes 100% of the shares of BD Sport Ltd., BD Stadia Ltd. and BD Deportes SL.
In a statement confirming the acquisition, Gaming Nation said that the deal will extend its service offering into the stadium betting sector, while at the same time leveraging BD Sport’s existing infrastructure and client base in deploying its own 5050 Central platform in the European market.
Scott Secord, president and chief executive of Gaming Nation, said: “We are excited to have closed the acquisition of BD Sport Group and look forward to integrating the infrastructure and management expertise into our operations.
“The combined synergies of 5050 Central and BD Sport will provide a platform for growth in both companies in an aggressive and profitable fashion.”
